Southern Comfort Manhattan

The Southern Comfort Manhattan is similar to a regular Manhattan, except that you are substituting Southern Comfort for Whiskey.

If you are a Manhattan lover, the Southern Comfort Manhattan won’t be for you, as Southern Comfort will make your drink taste sweeter and more like peaches, apricots and oranges. Southern Comfort, I find, also tends to taste a bit artificial and woody too me, if not kept ice cold.

If you love Southern Comfort and are looking for ways to get drunker faster, well then let me introduce you to the Southern Comfort Manhattan as it’s entirely all booze.

When making the Southern Comfort Manhattan, be certain to use fresh Vermouth from a bottle that hasn’t been open very long. Vermouth that is older than a month (from opening the bottle) does not taste its best. It’s still drinkable and shouldn’t hurt you, but it won’t make for the best cocktail.
