The Amaretto Sour is made with Amaretto, Sweet and Sour Mix (aka Bar Lime) and Sprite. The Amaretto Sour is a good starter drink at a dinner party as the sour flavours will get you primed for some delicious food.
Sweet and Sour Mix is something you can make at home using fresh ingredients or buy separately pre-made. You can also buy Bar Lime, which often comes in a powder where you ‘just add water’. Rose’s Lime Cordial is not Bar Lime or Sweet and Sour Mix. It lacks the Sweetness and the Sourness for an exceptionally tasty Amaretto Sour.

2 oz. Amaretto
2 oz. Sweet and Sour Mix or Bar Lime
5 oz. Sprite or 7-up.
Directions
- Add Amaretto and Sweet and Sour Mix to a glass full of ice.
- Top up with Sprite.
Notes
- For a classic Amaretto Sour, you can ditch the Sprite/7up.
