Chocolate Martini

A Chocolate Martini is made with Vodka and Clear Crème de Cacao. The Chocolate Martini is a fun drink to serve during the Christmas season, and you can decorate your Martini glass with drizzled chocolate syrup or drop in a Hershey’s Kiss for an even more fun drink.

The Chocolate Martini is rarely served outside of the Christmas Season as you have to be in a mood for this cocktail. I would advise to sticking to only one Chocolate Martini as the combination of sugar and alcohol will make many people feel sick or drunk too soon. I also find the Chocolate Martini starts to taste nasty as it warms up – so you’ll want to drink this Martini fast.

Some Chocolate Martinis recipes call for even more Light Crème de Cacao than what I recommend below. I’d advise to start small and add more Crème de Cacao to suit your tastes. A little Crème de Cacao goes a long way!

The Chocolate Martini is a fun drink to serve at the start of a Christmas party. Add a Hershey Kiss to make it even more enjoyable!

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Vodka

  • 1/4 oz. Clear Crème de Cacao

  • Hershey Kiss, Chocolate Straw, or Chocolate Syrup (decoration)

Directions

  • Add Vodka and Crème de Cacao to a cocktail shaker full of ice.
  • Shake that cocktail shaker hard and long – you need this cocktail to be frigid!
  • Strain into a Martini glass
  • Add a Hershey Kiss

Notes

  • If you drizzle your glass with chocolate syrup, you’ll want to pour in your alcohol nice and slow so it does not disturb the chocolate syrup. Otherwise, the Chocolate Martini might look like some disgusting brown swamp water. My advice – Practice first, -if you can’t get it – use a Hershey Kiss instead.
  • You’ll also want to peel the foil off your Hershey Kiss before you drop it in the cocktail.
