Best Ginger Beer for a Dark ‘n Stormy

If you are making a Dark ‘n Stormy for the masses, such as at a banquet or a wedding, you’ll want to purchase 2 litre bottles of it from the supermarket. Presidents Choice Ginger Beer up in Canada is really good! If you are making an small number of or a singular Dark ‘n Stormy, go with something in a small glass bottle and containing real ginger.

Do I Need Lime Juice for a Dark ‘n Stormy

The traditional recipe for a Dark ‘n Stormy made in Bermuda does not contain any lime juice. However, many bartenders add a small bit to add a bit of extra zing to the drink. If you are on the fence with adding lime for a customer, garnish the drink with a lime wedge. Then it’s up to them if they want the lime juice or not. You have to squeeze the lime wedge into your drink to get the lime flavour out of it. Pushing the lime wedge into your drink won’t add any flavour at all.
