The Bentley is made with apple brandy (like Calvados) and red dubonnet. Dubonnet is a sweet French red wine liquor mixed with brandy and spices. This cocktail is really damn good – tasting of apple, vanilla and red wine.
I got to say, when I first started bartending, my boss always insisted that we stock the bar with Dubonnet at every wedding banquet. I must have worked 500 weddings there and never cracked that bottle open. Maybe if we had some apple brandy to make the Bentley we could have moved some Dubonnet.
Most cocktail recipes call for a Bentley to be served straight in a Coupe glass, which I suppose is more elegant. I much prefer drinking a Bentley in a rocks glass, and sipping away at it slowly while chilling out on a couch. Man, does this drink go down easy!

- You can also serve a Bentley on the rocks, which is my preferred way to consume it.
